As mortal creatures, we always crave for more....better car, better job, better house but single most important thing which is love is lacking in most of the people's lives when you look around.
Has lust taken over love? Have the materialistic things in love to create better lives taken over the passion between 2 people. Why do distances lessen love and make people look around ?
I have heard so much and read tons of articles on long distance relationships, what is it that prompt people write such articles. Is it really difficult to hold love in your heart when the love of your life is miles away from you.
Sometimes, we know we cannot have someone in our life in one particular form of relation, so is it too much to expect or unreasonable to expect that person be a part of your life in some other form?
People talk about after you breakup, you cannot be friends, but why? How can you hate a person you once passionately loved or maybe still hold flame of fondness in your heart for that person?
God has made this being called human very complicated or maybe have we just complicated our lives with all the emotions and confusions and material things wanting.
Guess there is no answer to such questions....Just live, love.
I read somewhere....(which I dont believe and will never)...
"The real test of life is to love someone passionately, hold it against your bones and let it go when time comes"
I dont believe it because maybe I am feeble or maybe too full of love!

8 months and going strong

Its been now about 8 months back in India. I am very happy now to be closer home, the peace cannot compare to anything. Still do miss the lifestyle in US friends there, but friends visiting now...so kinda excited but dammit work sending me to Delhi...all the fun in Mumbai and I will be in Delhi :( leaving my baby sister alone here....

Work is not great, its alright but the hours, work ethics, work culture is pretty messed up in India.
Life is such a rollercoaster.....friends back there getting married and producing babies left, right center...haha missing all the action but somehow cant describe its somehow weird satisfaction of being with family.
Lotsa things happening from nice to not so nice but isnt that which keeps our lives happening....

New age complex relations

I was watching this movie - Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida na Kehna after say almost 4 years. I def did not like the movie that time inspite of being an ardent SRK fan. I believed how could all the relationships get confused and complicated believing that marriage is the solution to every problem. I was a typical Mills and Boon - Yash Chopra love stories believer.
But as years passed by with experiences I have been through and my friends, I have started believing in the story of KANK that relationships are not mathematics making 2+2 =4...There is a lot of physical properties + chemical reactions involved too.
Friendships have become complicated and so have relationships. You fall in love with friends, you fall out of love with lovers. You get married to someone you don't love and love someone you don't marry.

The truth is we all come from different cultures, backgrounds and beliefs, what might drive one person against the wall might be not disturb the other person. People have started believing if someone is not like them, they are just not good enuf. There is too much of self love and narcissism around. It is definitely good to love one self and respect our own culture but not to the extent of shutting the doors of respecting and accepting other value systems. According to my few years living away from home, I have realized that open minded, non judgmental and accepting people are very few in this world, it is very hard to become like but not impossible.

God did not say life would be fair, all he said was it will be worth it :)
Complications and sufferings in relationships is God's way of telling us that the pain and trouble is all worth it. If one piece of the puzzle does not fit, you will not throw the puzzle in the garbage, keep trying until you find the perfect fit but don't waste time with the same puzzle piece trying to make it fit, it will never work.
God luck and God bless for becoming better people :D

Football over Cricket really?

I was just reading yesterday about the T20 going on but with this FIFA fever not sure how many people are actually watching cricket. India is freaking ranked 133rd in the world in football as compared to No. 1 in tests and No. 3rd in ODIs in cricket.
The only last time India qualified for the football world cup was when they could not even play because they were not wearing shoes...(yes that is true)
Cricket is a religion in India and the cricketers are godly, inspite of this there is more hype for football than cricket. Why?
Probably because these days there are soooooooooo many ODIs and some weird T20s which have no importance. In my teenage years or in fact until last few years there were only few important matches and even I used to look forward to the world cup, not that I still don't enjoy a good cricket match but now its like every other month there is some unimportant match being played.
Now tell me who all know that India is hosting the next world cup which is barely 8 months away...Wohoooo!

Ok some dirty humor for the day on sledging ;)
