I so miss running on a beautiful trail surrounded by lush plants and trees changing colors with each season. Feeling the sweat with the cool breeze blowing over my body.
I really wanted to do a 10k last year and I had been practicing a lot but unfortunately most of the indian infrastructure and weather does not permit running outside, especially in a city like Mumbai especially the suburbia. I have lost my zest of running in the humdrum of life with a tiring commute, hectic work and taking care of the house especially the availability of healthy and clean foods in India.
Dont get me wrong, I love love Mumbai, its a great city but very tiring if your parents are not living with you. My sister and I put all are efforts but still get so physically exhausted for no reason.
There is one thing which I am looking forward after going to Chandigarh is run run run at the lake. I love running at the Sukhna lake :) it has its own charm, and maybe even start biking.

Testing times for love!
I came back home thinking of skipping gym today due to back ache, although kept contemplating should I go since I might have to miss on friday as I am meeting few friends after work.
I came home, made some sandwich and tea and put on some TV. I normally watch love channel by cbs, all american shows...god I like them so much better than kanchivaram clad sari women.
Scrolling through I just ended up putting the news channel and saw explosions in dadar, mumbai. Currently being in Mumbai obviously surprised me not shocked since the cops were saying it seems like electricity short circuit but within few minutes it got confirmed it is a terrorist attack. Wow..a Shocked WOW, never thought this would happen in the city I am living in. I was still under disbelief until a dear friend texted me asking if I am ok. That got my brains ticking that it is serious which led me to message anyone I knew in Mumbai. It was not just a courtesy call but just the satisfaction that everyone I knew was safe. Then I got calls from few of my friends in US and messages on messanger from few. Suddenly it feels so good to know they are thinking about you and it does make a difference maybe micromini difference that you are alive. We humans are so selfish wanting more and more love and attention from everyone. It feels good if they checked on you but it hurts if someone you thought was close to you didnt even bother to find out about your safety. Someone rightly said, everyone will be there during your happy times, but the person who stands by your difficult times is the true test of friendship.

Fashionista diaries
Fashion in india has been taking a 180 degrees turn. Everyone wants to experiment with looks. From a small kid with glittered nail art done on their tiny hands to grandmoms trying out their hand at wearing fashionable jeans and designer kurtis, everyone is immersed in fashion. The good thing is experimentation is acceptable. 10 years back if I stepped out in shorts or my pyjamas, I would be told my next door aunty to dress up nice 'decent' and go out. Things have changed now, maybe not completely. I can go out now in my PJs but with a nice top to team it up.
Bollywoood is full with fashionistas who know about Gucci, Chanel and Dior but not a dime about acting.
The 80s fashion if bellbottoms and big glares is back and so is the fashion of wedges/platform heels is back The colors are in. Team about an orange with a blue and red necklace. It can look great if you are wearing of right cut and size teaming up with great confidence and attitude.
Shorts are big in India right now, especially in Mumbai. Other cities in India are still quite conservative when it comes to women's clothing.
Recently, I heard whistles and car honks when I stepped out in a knee length skirt to get some grocery in Chandigarh. Luckily inspite of all that, it is comparatively a safer city.
Alright got to sleep now. Have mixed up enough topics from fashion to eras to cities just in few minutes. Need to talk more about fashion and its critic tomorrow. Goodnight!
