Fashionista diaries

Fashion in india has been taking a 180 degrees turn. Everyone wants to experiment with looks. From a small kid with glittered nail art done on their tiny hands to grandmoms trying out their hand at wearing fashionable jeans and designer kurtis, everyone is immersed in fashion. The good thing is experimentation is acceptable. 10 years back if I stepped out in shorts or my pyjamas, I would be told my next door aunty to dress up nice 'decent' and go out. Things have changed now, maybe not completely. I can go out now in my PJs but with a nice top to team it up.
Bollywoood is full with fashionistas who know about Gucci, Chanel and Dior but not a dime about acting.
The 80s fashion if bellbottoms and big glares is back and so is the fashion of wedges/platform heels is back The colors are in. Team about an orange with a blue and red necklace. It can look great if you are wearing of right cut and size teaming up with great confidence and attitude.
Shorts are big in India right now, especially in Mumbai. Other cities in India are still quite conservative when it comes to women's clothing.
Recently, I heard whistles and car honks when I stepped out in a knee length skirt to get some grocery in Chandigarh. Luckily inspite of all that, it is comparatively a safer city.
Alright got to sleep now. Have mixed up enough topics from fashion to eras to cities just in few minutes. Need to talk more about fashion and its critic tomorrow. Goodnight!
